I absolutely love being a pastor. Preaching is part of what I do, but it’s not the largest part. I like caring for people. I like to share Christian faith, hope, and love with others. I am a native of Woodburn, the very community in which I serve. I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University (BFA,painting), and I earned graduate degrees at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville (the MDiv in 1992, the PhD in 1996). My wife is a nursing instructor at WKU. We think our son is the greatest.

Minister of Education and Administration - Warren Weeks
God calls each of us to use the gifts, talents and abilities He gives us for His Glory. I am excited to serve the Lord at Woodburn in leading the Christian education ministry and church administration. My desire is for Woodburn Baptist to be an influence in our community and in the world by shaping lives through the teaching and application of God’s Word. I have served churches in Texas and South Carolina. I am a graduate of Southern Tech in Georgia and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I love my family. My wife, Margie and I have four children; Amanda (married to Chris), David (married to Ryn), Martha and Emily and two grandchildren Sam and Addy. Let me know how I can help you find a Sunday School class or answer any question you may have about the church.

Searching through Scripture I find worship to be an individual and corporate need. We were created to glorify and worship God out of the very depths of our soul. I have been in active ministry positions since the fall of 2001 and have been on staff at Woodburn since the fall of 2007. I count it a blessing to serve a church that worships so freely as we do, and know that great things are in store for us. Join our Worship Ministry here at WBC, Woodburn Campus, by contacting me and letting me know where God has gifted you to serve. We'd love to have you as part of our family!

Administrative Assistant - Woodburn Campus
Laurie Tingle
I am so humbled by the way God has prepared me "for such a time as this". I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University, have worked as a banker for most of my adult life; I am a wife, a mother of our daughter and our son, and am a grandmother of one precious grandson; but, my greatest joy is being God's child and being able to serve Him in such a way that He is glorified! I love watching God's plan unfold and am so very thankful that He has given me this opportunity to serve, and I pray that I will serve Him and His church well!

Administrative Assistant - Franklin Campus
Carolyn "CJ" Wafford
They have blessed us with 8 awesome grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
I praise Him for allowing me to work as the Administrative Assistant for the Franklin Campus. My prayer is that He will allow me to be used for His glory in this position and that the "Words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart would always be acceptable in His sight for He is my Strength, my Rock, and my Redeemer!".

Youth and Young Adults Minister - Matt Betts
Many people think that youth and young adults are the church of the future, but I believe they are the church of today. God has greatly used young people in the past to bring about incredible revivals, and He wants to do the same now. I have been in ministry since 1999 and have been married since 2002 to my very best friend, Dawn, and I have three beautiful and incredible daughters (Kaylyn, Savannah, and Addison). I want more than anything to honor God in my life and ministry, and I believe God has great plans for the youth and young adults of Woodburn Baptist Church.
