College & Young Adults Ministry
The College and Young Adults Ministry is a vibrant part of the ministry of Woodburn Baptist Church. No longer is high school graduation the end of the line for students. We offer this ministry to enable college students and young adults to grow stronger in their faith, serve radically in the church, community, and world, and have incredible joy while doing what God has called them to do.
We want to provide a way for college students and young adults to take it up a notch in their faith development. One way to do this is through intense and relevant small groups that meet at 9:45 am on Sunday morning at the church. We also have a summer Bible study that meets at the house of Matt and Dawn Betts.
We have found out that college students and young adults want to make a difference in the world. They do not want to live mediocre Christian lives. They want to serve Christ passionately with a purpose. We do this through utilizing this age group as small group leaders in our youth ministry, provide mission trips to places like Haiti and Southeast Asia, and create opportunities to serve in our community.
The Christian life is fun! Every time we get together we have a blast. Whether it is serving at Dnow, going to Passion Conference, hanging out playing beach volleyball, or seeing who can eat the most corn dogs at Sonic, we are going to have a good time.
